Franschhoek Uncorked

SEPTEMBER CALENDAR

Where: Franschhoek, Cape Winelands
When: 2nd week of September

Photos by Franschhoek Uncorked.

As spring peeps around the corner the town of Franschhoek starts to celebrate with a festival. It is a time to introduce the new vintages and releases of the year. Visitors can drive from wine estate to wine estate to sample the wines, olives and delicious restaurant menus along the way. Some estates will step it up a little and offer live entertainment.

Select estates will also offer cellar and vineyard tours, barrel tasting, food and wine pairings, and art exhibitions. This is also a good time to buy wine at reduced festival prices. Visitors will need to purchase a weekend pass. The pass includes a tasting glass and free wine tastings of select wines at the estates during the festival.

Ride the hop-on hop-off tram - a great way to visit the wine estates during Franschhoek Uncorked Festival, without having to drive!
