Spring-Summer Season in Cape Town: October to January (check Madame Zingara Booking Office for specific dates)Dinner and a show has been elevated to a new level of world class entertainment at Madame Zingara. This is a restaurant experience that incorporates the best of South African cuisine with the finest singers, dancers, acrobats and musicians from across the world, who will stun you with their talent as you sip on wine and dine on a King’s fare.
The restaurant started in a building in Loop Street, Cape Town in 2001 but the 320 seat restaurant was lost to a fire in 2006. To rebuild was not an option so in the true spirit of, ‘the show must go on’ the company purchased a Spiegel tent.
It was the first tent of its kind in Africa. The 80 year old antique tent, known as Victoria, is a 25 m high velvet big top with mirrored columns and beveled booths, one of the last of its kind in the world.
The restaurant kitchen is on site and the tent and production travels between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Seating Options
Tickets are sold for the following:
- Middle ring – 5 m (16 ft) from central stage
- Private booths – 8m (26 ft) from stage on elevated seating
- Golden circle – very close to the performers, best seats
- Elevated stage – you are practically a part of the show, looking out on the stage
Tickets include welcome drink, a 4 course dinner and 2.5 hour show. It is essential to book a table early as this very popular restaurant fills up quickly.
The 2013/2014 season in Cape Town runs from October through January.

Madame Zingara has expanded into the retail market. In addition to the tented extravaganza, the company welcomed the Sidewalk Cafe, Cafe Mozart and Cafe Paradiso into their repertoire of dining experiences and two quirky stores called, This Is Not a Post Office and Uncle Shifty's and just recently the Don Pedros eatery in Woodstock.
